One of the great things about our method for developing websites is the amazing variety of beautiful website designs available to you at no extra cost. This website showcases many of these designs, and we’re always on the lookout for new ones.
How to use this site
Using this site is simple. Look to the left of this web page for the drop-down box under “Pick A Design”. When you select a design name from this list, a thumbnail preview of your selection appears just above the drop-down. To apply the design to this website, just click the “Select” button right under the list. Voila! The whole website now has a whole new look.
Does a design you picked look “sloppy”?
Don’t worry—it won’t on your website. This is because here, you are applying many designs to generic content. When we build your site, part of our job is adjusting the design you pick to fit your content so that everything “fits” just right. Keep that in mind when you see text that isn’t quite aligned properly, a menu that doesn’t look quite right, or any other design issue that makes you raise an eyebrow.
Things to consider
As you look through these designs, it can be hard to visualize how they will look on your site. Remember that part of your website package includes changes to your design to fit your needs. Here’s a list of things to think about while looking at these designs and imagining how they might apply to your site:
- Overall layout. This is really what you want to look at here. If the way things are arranged on the page appeals to you, add it to the list of designs that you like. Just about everything else can be changed.
- Your logo. Of course, one of the first design changes we make is replacing a design’s logo with your own.
- Images. Many of these designs feature images that don’t make sense for you. We can can change these images to ones that make sense for you.
- Colors. We can also change the colors of text, graphics, and other design elements.
- Headers. Click the “headers” link at the top or right of this page to see how this design handles text for various kinds of headings.
- Lists. You’re looking at a list right now. Click the “Lists” link at the top or right of this page to see how this design presents lists with bullets and numbers.
- Articles. Your website content is often presented in the form of articles like this one. Click the “Article” link at the top or right of this page to see how the design displays a generic page of text.
